How this site uses AI.

What the AI does

When you upload a photo of your coffee cup, the image is sent to a vision-capable artificial intelligence model. The model looks for visible shapes, patterns and letter-like forms in the grounds, then writes a short fictional reading in the language you chose. No human being looks at your cup or writes your reading.

What it cannot do

The reading is invented text, not a prediction. It has no access to your life, your future, or any fact about you beyond the photograph. It must never be used as medical, legal, financial, relationship or safety advice. The model is instructed to refuse those topics, to avoid claims about real named people, and to never predict illness, injury or death — but no automated system is perfect, and you should treat anything it produces as fiction.

When the AI is unavailable

If every AI model fails, the site composes a reading from our human-written symbol dictionary instead of showing an error. Those readings are labelled on screen so you always know which kind you received.

Human oversight

The site is run by one person, who chooses which models are used, writes the instructions given to them, and reviews the symbol dictionary by hand. Model outputs are length-limited and stripped of any embedded markup before display. If a reading appears that breaks the rules above, it can be reported and the instructions or the model changed.

Your photo and your data

Your photo is resized in your own browser, sent to our server, forwarded to the AI provider to produce the reading, and not stored by us afterwards. See the privacy notice for the full detail.

Complaints and contact

If you believe a reading was harmful, misleading, or presented as anything other than entertainment, write to us and it will be looked at by a person. Contact details are on the about page.

Why this page exists

Article 50 of the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) requires that people are told when they are interacting with an AI system and when content is artificially generated. This page, and the notice shown before you upload a cup, exist to meet that duty. This is a transparency notice, not legal advice.
